Ez's first ski lessons and skiing all by himself! he was team pink for the first day, which made it easy for us to spot him.
Ez is whispering his concerns about getting the pizza move just right. he may have shed a tear or 2 in the process. His instructor (Dakota) gave him some special tips and tricks and he that seemed to fix everything.
Ez is sporting the bunny hill position that seems to work for all cautious first timers
Not sure what Ez found more fun, riding the magic carpet up the hill or sporting his pizza moves down the bunny slopes.
Atti is our experienced big kid who kept wanting to head for the chair lift with his class. He tolerated a couple rides up the "Gold" magic carpet only because he got to go through the 1/2 pipe on the ride down and try some jumps. Dad was not willing enough to hike over to the chair lift side of the Mt to get some shots of Atti's big boy moves. Atti did say 1 of his goals in 2013 is to learn how to snowboard now that he has got this simple little thing of skiing down pat.
Brothers make the best of friends...when they are not fighting.
My 2nd year attempts at growing a Mo for Movember did not result in more spectacular facial hair as I expected. It did raise 0ver $1600 for cancer research though and our group raised about $8k so it was worth it (maybe not for my kiddies and wife though). My boys that it was the funniest thing and they seemed to stare at me for long quiet moments in thoughtful reflection of what plague Daddy had caught from some hair monster.
Ez & Atti both did the flag raising ceremony at their school for Remembrance Day. Ez is in Beavers & Atti is a Cub in the 1st Priddis Scout troop. Dad get's to spend every Wednesday with both of them for a good 3 hours and we have some amazing activities planned including a sleepover with the dinosaur's in the Tyrell Dinosaur Museum in the spring!
the 2 older boys and I play shiny on an outdoor rink every weekend for an hour or 2. Ez is the goalie and we are not allowed to score on him or else he will beat us up. It is worth a few cold toes, some bruises, and a cup of hot chocolate to make it all bearable.
we have been into Christmas concert season with all 3 boys and Max has been going around the house singing Ho, Ho, Ho part of his Santa song. He makes for a very convincing Santa Clause with his hat.
November was full of some fantastic memories with taking out Randy and his friend to shoot a couple Northern Alberta monster white-tails. Some very cold toes on this trip with the thermometer hitting -26 Celsius 1 morning and that was before the wind got to us on the quads. Fantastic memories and stories that we will never forget!
Mel has stayed busy with coordinating our family adventures every week, and creating a magical Christmas for the boyz + somehow finding time to work for a week about every month and go to a Medical education conference. She definitely has Super Hero Mom status.
